Official launch of the new Health & Society collection
One year ago, the Faculty of Health Sciences (represented by Sanni Yaya, of the ISHS) undertook a collection entitled Health and Society in cooperation with the University of Ottawa Press to stimulate critical thought on health issues. The collection was presented during the University of Ottawa Press fall launch.
Annette O'Connor elected Fellow by the Royal Society of Canada
School of Nursing Distinguished Professor Emerita Annette O'Connor's novel measures, frameworks and interventions have contributed to the emergence of a new field of 'shared medical decision making'. Her ground-breaking studies have created new knowledge, tools and standards for informing patients about difficult treatment decisions and have underpinned new policies and legislation internationally to promote shared decision making between patients and health professionals.
