We are pleased to announce that two PhD students, Lauren Orser and Jessica Reszel are the recipients of the 2020-2021 Vanier-CIHR Scholarships.

Jessica Reszel's doctoral research is focused on "Facilitating the use of evidence-informed maternal-newborn care: Development and field-testing of an implementation guide to support action planning."

Lauren Orser 's doctoral research is focused on "sexualized drug use among HIV sero-positive gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men using crystal methamphetamine: Exploring the intersection between sero-status, substance use, addictions, and mental health issues."

Named after Major-General Georges P. Vanier, the first francophone Governor General of Canada, the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (Vanier CGS) program helps Canadian institutions attract highly qualified doctoral students.
