Krystina Lewis, PhD candidate in the School of Nursing, received the Student Award for Best Oral Presentation at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress, October 21-24 in Vancouver. Her presentation was titled “Decision support for patients facing implantable cardioverter-defibrillator generator replacement: A feasibility trial.”

This award supports nursing students or Registered Nurses pursuing education at the undergraduate or graduate level. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding potential and/or contributions to their chosen area of practice.

This award is to provide opportunities to Registered Nurses who wish to pursue education at the baccalaureate, masters or doctoral level with an interest in any aspect of the broad specialty of neuroscience nursing. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in neuroscience nursing and indicate how they contribute to the advancement of clinical practice, education, or research within this specialty.
This award offers the recipient the opportunity to get in the thick of things with a one-week placement with RNAO CEO Doris Grinspun. The $2,000 HUB Fellowship is generously sponsored by RNAO's group home and auto insurance provider, HUB International Ontario Limited.
