Marijke Taks is a full professor in the School of Human Kinetics, on July 1st 2020, she joined the Faculty’s Research Office as the new Vice-Dean Research.
Marijke is familiar with the breath of research that is being conducted under the umbrella of biophysical, behavioural and sociocultural sciences in the Faculty of Health Sciences. She has a passion for research, feels strongly connected with the research that is performed in our faculty and is eager to learn more.
During her term as Vice-Dean research Marijke’s goals are to first coordinate a successful return to a different normal for researchers following the pandemic, as well as to maintain optimal conditions and minimal disruptions to research during the construction and renovation projects underway in various FHS locations. Marijke will also support optimal use of shared research space, new synergies between researchers and the recognition and visibility of the top-notch research being accomplished in our faculty at the University, community, national and international levels.
