Five researchers from the FHS successful in the spring 2020 CIHR Project Grant competition totalling nearly $2.5M in funding.

Congratulations to the following researchers (PIs) on their success:

Yan Burelle (ISHS) for his project “ Mitochondrial Dysfunction in Sepsis-Induced Cardiac Dysfunction”

Linda McLean (Rehab Sci) for her project “Running-Induced Urinary Incontinence in females: Pathomechanics and Conservative Options for Prevention and Intervention”

Wendy Peterson (Nursing) for her project “The Montfort Posnatal Care at Home Program:  How do Health Outcomes, cost, Patient and Provider experiences Compare with Usual Hospital-Based Postnatal Care?”

Jean-Daniel Jacob and Amanda Vandyk (Nursing) for their research project “Violence Risk Assessment in Clinical Psychiatry:  A Systematic Review”

This achievement represents a 23.5% success rate for the Faculty,  compared to the 15.8% national average.
