Janet Squires, Full Professor in the School of Nursing was first awarded the University Research Chair in Health Evidence Implementation in 2015. In her first term Janet’s main focus was to generate knowledge about the role of context in facilitating or hindering implementation activities targeting healthcare professionals.  In accomplishing this Janet became recognized as a leader in implementation science and in the role of context in implementation, nationally and internationally.

Over the next five years the goals of Janet’s research program are first to advance the measurement of context in implementation and second to inform quality improvement programs in the country by completing a systematic review of inappropriate health care in Canada.
