30th edition of the North American Society for Sport Management Conference
The University of Ottawa Sport Management Group was proud to host the 30th edition of the North American Society for Sport Management Conference last week, which was crowned with great success. Under the theme “Knowledge, Passion, Community: Driving Sport Forward”, the conference welcomed over 450 delegates from around the world, and could count on the support of over thirty student volunteers from the School of Human Kinetics, one of the organizers goals. The other goals were to facilitate researcher-practitioner networking, and to organize a memorable conference that promotes the Sport Management Program from the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Congratulations to the organizers from the School of Human Kinetics!
Visit from Michigan State University
Dr. Martin Camiré et Dr. Tanya Forneris from the University of Ottawa’s School of Human Kinetics organized a workshop on March 26, 2015 with members of Michigan State University’s Institute for the Study of Youth Sport. During the workshop, the professors and students discussed many ideas related to how future studies should address the most pressing needs in youth sport research. The event was as a pre-conference workshop to the ECSEPS (http://www.ecseps.com) conference, which was organized by SHK graduate students.
