Dr. Dawn Stacey receives international recognition for her leadership in patient decision making

Professor Dawn Stacey, RN, PhD, was invited by Mr. Simon Harris T.D., the Minister of Health for Ireland, to provide the keynote presentation at their National Patient Safety Conference, October 17-18, 2018 at the Dublin Castle. The conference focused on the importance of communication and to highlight the value of dialogue between patient and medical professionals.

Dr. Stacey's presentation on "Supporting patients as partners in decision making: "A strategy to improve quality and safety in healthcare" addressed over 400 attendees, including health professionals, health service managers and patient representatives participating at the conference.

On November 8, Dr. Dawn Stacey is invited to present Strategies and Tools for Putting Patients First at the 50th Marion Woodward Lecture anniversary hosted by the UBC School of Nursing – to be held at UBC Robson Square - Lecture Theatre, 800 Robson Street, downtown Vancouver, BC.
